Marshall Allan Divita received his Master of Education in Counseling from Southwest Texas State University. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Texas A&M University.
Marshall has over 25 years of professional experience in the field of counseling and psychotherapy. During his career, he has worked in a variety of counseling settings, including: psychiatric hospital (The Sandstone Center), university counseling centers (Southwest Texas State University and St. Edward’s University), community agencies (Waterloo Counseling Center, SafePlace, New Life Institute), and his been in private practice since 1992. Additionally, he is an Associate Professor at the Seminary of the Southwest in Austin, Texas.
Marshall works with individuals, couples/partners, groups, and families. His areas of specialization are: Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), depression/anxiety, sexual assault/abuse, domestic violence, and GLBTQ issues. He is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
He is a member, in good standing, of the American Counseling Association and a Clinical Member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy.
