Janet "Kaye" Love, MSSW/MBA, LPC

My focus is to help you alleviate distress by developing ways of thinking, feeling and behaving that increase your experience of well-being. My approach blends Solution Focused, Cognitive, Psychodynamic, Psycho-educational, and Mindfulness-based techniques. Focusing on potential solutions instead of problems helps you move towards your goals. I will help you understand the dynamics of your situation, and discover how your thoughts and beliefs affect your emotions and behaviors. You will learn to observe your thoughts, revise limiting unconscious conditioning, and develop new ways of thinking that evoke more positive emotions. This process increases your ability to resolve issues independently.

I am experienced in working with youth, parents, and families as well as individual adults. I provide play therapy for children age six to age ten. My clinical experience is strongest with adjustment issues (eg, family conflict, academic stress, work stress, grief and loss) attention deficit disorders, anxiety, and depression. I also have over eight years of experience with individuals with developmental and learning disabilities, including Intellectual Disability and Autism Spectrum Disorder, as a result of employment in Special Education and Vocational Rehabilitation.

In addition to in-person counseling services, I offer online video sessions to you in the comfort of your home, anywhere in Texas.
