Labyrinth
Rental
FEES AND
EXPENSES
Generally, the portable labyrinth is
accompanied by an Institute staff member or trained volunteer.
However, a group may use the labyrinth if there are persons onsite
who are trained in its history and the practicalities of its handling
and care. In either case, a letter of agreement is signed outlining
the specific terms of use.
OPTION 1: Use of Labyrinth with Institute Personnel and Resources
Included are:
- Assistance with setting up and taking down
the Labyrinth, along with initial introduction
provided by a staff member or volunteer
from New Life Institute.
- Videotape (3 min.)which can be played
continuously to orient newcomers
- One-page handout that serves as an
introduction and guide to walking the Labyrinth
- Music and candles
- Socks and scarves
Fees:
- $100 per time unit* that the Labyrinth is in
use
- Reimbursement for on-site staff time @
$15/hour.
- Mileage costs for staff/volunteer travel
($.31/mile)
Additional costs:
- A program fee (for lecture, workshop,
retreat)
(negotiated with the individual staff person
and included in total fee.)
- Reimbursement for travel time above 3 hours
@$10/hour.
OPTION 2: Use of Portable Canvas Labyrinth Only
Availability depends on the presence of a trained labyrinth facilitator** (or persons in the sponsoring organization who have been trained by an experienced facilitator).
Fee: $100 per time unit* that the Labyrinth is in use
Appropriate music (CDs) can be included for
an additional $25.
* A time unit is defined as a 4 hour period (morning; afternoon, evening) and is billed in 4 hour increments.
** A trained facilitator has completed the
program at Grace Cathedral in San Francisco, at New Life Institute,
or has received comparable orientation regarding the care and
handling of the portable labyrinth.
